PEOPLE ON YOUR ROAD TO DESTINY TEXT: Genesis 37: 39-44

Looking at Joseph’s life and his journey from the comfort of his father’s house and embrace through all the rigours on his way to the palace, you would see that he encountered many people; some where very critical to his journey and others were not relevant. I want you to place your life side by side Joseph’s life and apply your heart to the wisdom in this man’s life so that you won’t be cut short. Such people include the following.
1.      Those that birthed you into life.
2.      Those who are jealous of your future.
3.      Those who will sell your dreams and future.
4.      Those who birth your destiny and seasons of God for your life.
5.      Those people for whom you are running the race of destiny.
6.      Those whose negative acts contribute positively to your journey.
7.      Those who create the atmosphere and environment for you to develop necessary skills for destiny.
8.      Those who raise false hopes for you to distract you.
9.      Those men whose dreams must come true in order for you to rise up.
10.  Those that God has ordained to put the crown on your head.
Don’t only note these people you need to trust God for wisdom to respond appropriately to them. This is very important.
1. Those That Birthed You into Life
This implies your natural parents. They gave birth to you and brought you into the world. They are your channel through which God sent you into the world to fulfill destiny, you must recognize that and respect this, without them you would not have come.
What they have done is what nobody else can do for you and you must note and reward this.
Some people wish they were born by different parents. This is wrong. You must know that God works in your life based on your destination and you would not have been you if other parents birthed you. Your own parents supplied their own genes and the combination resulted in you, another combination would not have become you. So appreciate that and honour them for it.
The future God has for you is what determines his workings and operations in your life. Therefore the parents who gave birth to you and the experiences you have had under them were allowed by God. God works in your life today because of your tomorrow. Never compare your parents with other people’s parents. Stop wishing, they were yours, accept your parents and let everything they have supplied to you work together by God to make you what God wants you to be in life & destiny.
Some people had their parents nurture them till they became mature whilst others never even knew their parents. God allowed these things so that it would contribute to their moulding. Just accept it the way God has allowed it and maximize that which you cannot change for your future to come to pass.

LEARN HOW TO GATHER WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. Text: Ps. 104:28

“GATHER” means effort; work. It means you will take physical steps to do something. Some people have received divine ideas to make wealth and have done nothing about it. And yet, they will complain about the economic situation of the country. They complain of not having enough money. “Not enough” is not in God’s dictionary. He is a more than enough God, the all breasty one. Just imagine a nursing mother that the two breasts are filled with milk, it is flowing uncontrollably and she is looking for the baby to come and suck for relief. That is how God is, so loaded, waiting for His children to come and take some more.
You gather to take what God gives to you. If you don’t take it, it will be there. God is not emotional; He is not going to help you to make it. You’ve got to pick it yourself.
Gathering and walking in the abundance God has promised does not start with doing something, it starts with a change of mindset. You must know that you have a right to succeed and abound first of all. Abundance is your portion. God has given them per time. At times it may be wisdom or physical resources that God gives. He may give it to you directly, through the work of your hands or through somebody. Reject limitation and reduction. Gather what God gives.
Ruth went to glean on the field of Boaz (Text: Ruth 2:1-end) and when she got there, there were 4 categories of people she met. The world is the field and these four categories of men are on the harvest field:
1.      The owner: Boaz was the owner. You don’t see Boaz gathering anything. Everything there is His. God is the Owner.
2.      The reapers: they were taking charge of the field for him. The bible calls the angels reapers.
3.      The gleaner: the poor people that go to the field and pick up things after the reapers. They pack the leftovers and it is still not enough for them.
4.      The children of the owner: this just go to Daddy’s field to just see what is happening..
The status of each person on the harvest field determines the audacity they have to take harvest. Boaz was the owner, so he could give them the command “Let her drink from the vessel the young men have drawn. Let her take as much as she wants and let no man stop her. Drop some handfuls for her on purpose. The owner says he has given it to you and you know you are the son of the owner. You have access and right, a God ordained right to everything God has. Jesus is our Joint Heir. Everything God has, you have. It’s your right. You are not trying to plead or beg. The son does not even need the permission of the reapers. It’s his father’s. So there is no reason for you to be in lack or want.

CONDITIONS FOR MAKING WEALTH HAPPEN Text: Ps.78:41

What God supplies is the power. All we have to do is to tap into it. The Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) has supplied electricity on the streets. They don’t ask you what you want to use it for, whether for boiling ring, pressing iron or bulbs. The electrical power has been made available; just tap into it according to their specification not according to how you feel it should be done. This is the problem God has with men- our minds. Read Isaiah 55:8. We are limited by our limited knowledge. That is the gap between us and the Almighty God. We always have our own way that we feel something should be done. We are limited by our restricted information.
The glory cloud leads upward and forward. That is how your life should be, from glory to glory, grace to grace and level to level. If God is involved with your life, every step you take is in the forward direction. The path of the just is like the breaking of the dawn, which is not under any human control. The breaking of the dawn is a divine working, a divine release of life that nobody can stop. So don’t limit the workings of God by your unbelief, ignorance and mindset. Here are three points to help you walk in supernatural wealth:
1.      Be Mature: God is a God of levels. There’s a degree of wealth that God opens you to at different levels. What He expects from you is for you to move into maturity. Follow His leadership unto maturity. The more spiritually mature you become, the more worthy God finds you, to move you from one level of wealth to another.
God will not risk abundance of wealth in the hand of an immature Christian because such a man will destroy himself, destroy the church of God and he will strengthen the hand of the world against the church.
Consider the prodigal son; he was not spiritually matured, so he squandered the inheritance he took from his father into riotous living. To be matured, study the word, develop a prayer lifestyle, study under a God-ordained leadership and give yourself to service in God’s kingdom. Then you will qualify for kingdom wealth.
2.      Set Your Priorities Right Matt.6:33: When you seek the things of the kingdom first, wealth follows you. If you are following God, at times it may look as if physical things are not increasing, at the same time you will know that spiritual things are increasing mightily; wisdom, favour, sensitivity to the Holy Ghost will be increasing and these things will give birth to the physical things that men are running after.
There are two types of possessions you must have on earth to fulfill all of God’s purpose for you (i) things that money can buy e.g. house, car etc. (ii) things that money cannot buy e.g. love, hope, faith, sensitivity to the Holy Ghost etc. but get the things that money cannot buy first and keep them; don’t loose them. It will eventually bring you money.
You must make sure that you don’t loose the things money cannot but while you are getting the things that money can buy. For example, money can buy you a house not a home. Set your priorities right.
3.      Develop Your Faith Heb.11:6: You must live your life more by faith and not by emotions. When you believe His word, His word must produce. Most times people are consecrated but they don’t have faith. So they keep pushing through problems that they should have downloaded an answer that is hanging in the Spirit to. You can declare His word in Ps.30:10 (Read please). Bible says He satisfy your mouth with good things. So why should you go hungry? Confess the word. Say Lord, I receive good things! That is how to work faith and your needs will always be met. Everything you need is taken care of in Him. If you are a member of this kingdom, hunger is not your portion. Work the kingdom.

A Career Woman

For a woman to be a full time housewife is a complete waste of resource. There is a way it affects your development. With all the potentials inside her, a woman should have a job, whether as a professional or self employed. There is something that changes about you when you dress up to go to work, whether to your office or shop. Your outlook is different.
Take note of the following points:
1.      Don’t use your profession as an excuse for not developing capacity in the Spirit. Don’t be deceived by your profession or business to think it is the anchor of your life. God is and should be the Anchor of your life not your job. As a Doctor, Nurse, Banker etc you can always make out time for God. Don’t let your job be a hindrance to the pursuit of destiny. You can combine the two together. However, you will need grace. This will lead us to the next point.
2.      Take Advantage of Grace.
You need grace as a career woman. This is because you are functioning as a “double man”; you have male counterparts at work that do the same job you do and go home to meet his food already prepared by his wife. The house is already catered for by the children. But as a career woman, you do the same job and still do house chores. You need grace.
Learn to pray in the Spirit all times. As you are cooking in the kitchen, you can be listening to a message on tape at the same time. When your work increases, enlarge your capacity to accommodate the enlargement
3.      Don’t use domestic responsibility or spiritual assignment as an excuse for non-development in your profession. Never use one as an excuse for the other. Don’t stop developing until you get to the peak of your career. As a Nurse, don’t stop until you become the Chief Matron/ Director of Nursing Services. As a Teacher, keep developing until you become the Head of Principals.
I once met a woman who said she was confused. She wanted to get pregnant, go for a course and do some other things and she didn’t know which one to do first. I told her, “Do everything together”. Increase your capacity. The foetus in your womb will not stop you from listening to lectures in class. Don’t start carrying yourself around as an old ‘mama’ at thirty. Appreciate development.
PRACTICAL TIPS TO NOTE AS A CAREER WOMAN
  1. Learn to do exercise. Shed excess fat. It’s load. 15 minute jogging every day or 30 minute walk three times a week will do. It doesn’t have to be excessive. Don’t wait till you have a thread mill. Exercise will keep you fit and refreshed.
  2. Stop complaining. Complain weighs you down. Learn to smile and laugh.
  3. Reduce stress in your life. Take advantage of technology. There are equipments that can help you with domestic work e.g. washing machines, machines that make pounded yam in few seconds etc. Don’t locate your home in an interior place where it is difficult to get transportation and you have to treck a long distance. Don’t let anything sap the energy that is to be channeled for your destiny.
  4. Space your children: let one be old enough to send on minor errands before another one is born. Don’t have two babies that are not twins at the same time.
  5. Don’t expose your children unduly to caregivers. Be conscious of spirit flows.
  6. Don’t neglect your home while pursuing career development. Make adequate preparations.
