You know God didn’t plan that your life should be series of trial and errors. He planned that your life should be a manifestation of a design that draws attention to the designer. We are not live by guess work but live a life of design. The simply things we use in our everyday life can help us understand this subject better. Look around you; the things that man has made for himself are created by design suited for a specific purpose. In the kitchen for instance when you want to cut something you reach for your knife – why? Because it was designed to cut through things. Let me ask you this question – what would happen if you tried to use a spoon to cut something?
- You will not achieve the desired result
- You will waste time
- You will waste energy
- You will most likely damage what you are trying to cut
- You may even cause yourself harm
This underscores what happens when you do not understand what you are made for and you go around chasing the wrong things. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that
“For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordain that we should walk in them”.
Expectation of certain positive thing follows a life of design. You should be able to predict you are going to make it when you are living a life of design. It is a life that was design to work that God has call us unto and once you enter into that life and you begin to do it as you are suppose to, then you can predict you are going to make it. So how do you know what you are designed for? Prov 29:18 (Amp)
“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he”.
The scripture above simply tells us that without a communication from God on which direction to take, the people will perish. It is important to take note of the word “Perish”. You may look around and see an unbeliever having a measure of success but any success without God is actually failure. No matter how wonderful an unbeliever’s life is, it is less than what God planned for him to live. There is nothing an unbeliever has now that you will not surpass if you don’t stop walking with God.
Everything that is made has a manual or an informal set of instructions (dos and don’ts) that governs its use or application and this manual is supplied by the maker. Likewise, God has given man His word – The Bible, which is our manual for life. 2Tim 3:16 - 17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works”.
You were created to fulfil a particular purpose on the earth; go to God, develop a sound relationship with Him and He will begin to unfold to you His plans for your life. God bless you.
