GOD’S PATTERN FOR CORRECT MOTHERING:

The Will of God – A Mighty Weapon
The will of God (God’s tool) can be used as a mighty weapon to wrestle over a child’s case. This awareness should inform your behaviour. You have seen how God treated that which is His own – killing every firstborn of Egypt while the first born of the children of Israel had a double portion.
God appears when something is His own. You saw what happened to Nebuchadnezzer by just drinking from a cup; Joseph in Egypt, Sarah with Abimelech; etc. God followed His cup to Babylon. See Daniel 5
If you have this awareness, you will tremble at how you deal with the children. Don’t ever try to put up actions that portray your possession of them. Parents with this understanding rise up against the devil with the will of God as a major weapon of rescue for the child in time of crises. You must be well established in this first point, so the even when the children are far away, it raises no panic. If God is the owner, He will take care of them. That revelation will give peace to your soul. Moses’ mother allowed the child on the Nile because of this revelation.
That is what God can do when you give back to Him what belongs to Him. Your reliance and security should not be in DAY CARE CENTRES. Walk in strong confidence of the revelation of His will and purpose. Sarah was observant (over Isaac) and quickly took charge she could see when Ishmael mocked Isaac. She knew the will of God concerning Isaac. She lifted up this purpose. This was what preserved Isaac lest he would have been killed as Cain did Abel.
The initial stage of a child’s life is with the mother-up till about 5-7years before he/she begins to follow father around. You need not to be careless at this period.
God gave instructions to Manoah’s wife. She was not to be given to passion (ruled by fleshy lust) as a mother if the right thing must happen to her child ‘he that liveth in pleasure is death while she lives’. If you are quarrelsome, nagging etc, note that your character is built (automatically) into the fabric of your child’s foundation.
Seeing his father beat his mother, forms a child’s basic character that will rule him through life. If your child must not tell lies at 7, you’ve got to deal with it at age 1 or 2.
Your own lifestyle is very important in the life of your growing child; it will become a spirit in the child’s spirit. Manoah’s wife was asked not to eat any unclean thing; that means she should not take any doctrine that is not sound. That means you must seek to know the truths of God’s Word ‘read it yourself’; open yourself to teachings instead of going around for old wives fables that pollute the undiluted word of God.
When children are born, they can hear. Speak the Word to them (let them respond to prophecy like John the Baptist from the womb). The Word unspoken (unread) is intact. It is the release of these Words through confession that can birth purpose in the child. Speak the word of God to your children so as to release God’s power and purpose in them.

God bless you.

GOD’S PATTERN FOR CORRECT MOTHERING:

This passage above highlights the active participation of God with men in producing children- according to His purpose. Mothering/Parenting is a shared responsibility between God and man. If you understand this, and are faithful, God Himself is faithful.
Successful mothering starts from that participatory understanding. God is the one that forms and separate babies from the womb-having plans for them before they come - Jer 1:5 This understanding gives you an advantage; seeing you and God at work to cause His purpose to manifest on the earth.  People of this understanding enjoy peculiar involvement of God in their affairs over their children. There is no child that God gives to family without a defined purpose attached.
It’s a pity today that most parents stumble on children. I emphasize that one can still have children that God did not give to one (like Ishmael) –because God did not speak anything concerning his destiny. When you have no idea of God’s purpose, you have no weapon in the day of battle (crises).
In this passage, God started with a purpose demanding the commitment of the parents. Manoah’s wife confided in her husband on what she received.  Correct mothering can only be done in active cooperation with correct fathering – she discussed with her husband, what the angel told her.
Most women see the child as their own- considering her agony in the labour room; and at some times poison the child against the father. A woman does not have all it takes to raise a child. The child will lack many things- that only fatherhood can supply. There is a place of fathering that makes mothering show. When you fence them from that fathering influence, the gap will be there.
Notice that Manoah prayed that God should come and teach them how to raise the child-the child to be born. This is the prayer every mother ought to be praying before child bearing not just going around the market in search of dresses that the baby will wear.
God did not give you children to start raising them the way you know – your mother’s way or the way of the people around you. Husband and wife are to team up to raise the children under God.
Something is wrong if the father is pulling up and the mother is pulling down. There must be a harmonization of principles, understanding, etc. the two agreeing together in raising the children. They (Manoah and the wife) submitted their background fears (known and unknown) and limitations to what God had to say-seeking to be led in spite of what they knew. If you open your spirit to the Lord, He will lead you and show you what to do.
You must acknowledge and submit ownership of the child to the Lord (Ps. 127). The child belongs to God. He expects you to take custody of him while you consistently seek counsel from Him as the Owner. Many parents want to raise the child for themselves and not for the Lord. You must always seek the face of the Lord for what God desires for the child.
May the Lord depend on you.

MEMORIAL SEED (2)

Memorial seed has been part of the things that makes God get involved in people’s life in a special way. Noah made a sacrifice unto the Lord, immediately after the flood. That made God to promise that he will never destroy the whole world again with the flood and God blessed him. The blessing came unto him, to cancel the curse that was already on the surface of the earth.
Also, Solomon did the same; he gave a special seed to God (a thousand cattle for sacrifice). God responded promptly and gave him a blank cheque for life.
This contributed significantly to him becoming the wealthiest King in the whole world in his generation. Do you want blessings in your life, and divine involvement? Respond to a memorial seed, which may be in a time that God appears to have a need?  You can exempt yourself from the curse and enjoy the blessing, through a memorial seed.
Gal 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.
I want you to please note this: the law of God’s kingdom is sowing and reaping. When God wants to bring certain things your way he gives a seed which will later became a harvest in the form of that thing which you want. The problem however is that many times when the Lord sends us the seed; we consume it and as such do not have enough for the present and nothing for the future. You can liken it to a farmer who plants just a few seeds of corn but when the harvests come, you are unable to compare the harvests with the seed.
I want you to pray at this time that God will open your eyes, so you can recognize your seed. So that you will not consume what God has given to you as your seed. I want to show you two things that will happen to a person who sows his seed in season
Fruitfulness:
He will be fruitful; he will be able to produce positive results. It doesn’t matter how tight, it doesn’t matter how tough, he will produce positive results, if he’s in business he will produce positive results, if he’s in ministry, he’ll produce positive results, if he’s in academics, he will produce positive results.
Multiplication:
He will multiply. Able to multiply what he has, not just remain on the same level. The law of sowing and reaping guarantees that the harvest will be much more than the seed. So when you see a man walking in abundance, it is because he has multiplied what he has and his little beginnings have become great.
Let me tell you this; when something is too small for you to satisfy a need, turn in to a seed. The harvest that will come will be more than enough to satisfy you and every other person that may have that same need. That was what happened to the widow whose husband was one of the sons of the prophet. 2 King 4:1 – 6.  This is not to say that you sow a seed only when things are tight or not enough, to ensure continuous harvests you must keep on sowing just as you keep on going to work no matter how good your salary currently is. I pray for you that whenever you have resources at your disposal, you will recognize the seed and sow it appropriately that you may not go into famine in Jesus name.

A MEMORIAL SEED

TEXT: Acts 10:1-4, Psalm 20:1-3
God expects people to sow memorial seeds in their life that will speak into their future and make God to get especially interested and involved in their case. It was the offering of Abel that gave Him a testimony and made him enter the list of the hall of faith in Heb 11:4. God wants you to sow memorial seeds that will make him to get involved in your affairs, fight your battles and stand for all that is yours.
Cornelius’ salvation was specially arranged because of his memorial seed, even when it was not time for the Gentiles to enjoy the salvation. He also enjoyed angelic visitation and involvement in his life, making things happen for him in an unusual way. His offerings came up for a memorial in heaven.
There are many examples in the scriptures of the people that sowed memorial seeds and the harvest gave them an unusual advantage in life. It exonerates them from the wickedness and onslaught of the devil on the earth. The Shunamnite in II Kings 4:8-end, Abraham on Mount Moriah in Genesis 22:1-18.
Gen. 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease
There is always a seedtime before harvest. Don’t miss your seedtime. Let God show you what you need to lay down in order to be peculiarly remembered for what you cannot do by yourself.
The issue of memorial seed has been to so many, a matter of life and death. There are people that have suffered serious losses in life because they missed their seed time. Everything about the kingdom is in seed and harvest form.
God allowed Elijah the prophet to pass through the Shunamite’s house and she perceived that he is a man of God. Her heart moved to make the man of God comfortable, even when he didn’t make mention of it or give impression that there is a need.
She sowed a memorial seed, of a comfortable room and meals to the man of God. This spoke into her future. God knew that the devil will attack in the nearest future and He gave her an opportunity to sow the seed. So that when the devil attacked the only son whom the anointing had supernaturally provided, the anointing was in place to intervene. She had multiple harvests to her seed – Baby in old age, dead child raised back to life, advanced supernatural information, divine arrangement of favour, full restoration of her things.
She also enjoyed divine exemption of the famine that came upon the land for 7 years and restoration of her possessions when she returned.
Don’t miss your sowing time, when the Lord is moving your heart to bless the anointed. Don’t hesitate; it is because of you, not because of him/her. His God is enough for him but God want to get involved in your case. Ravens were bringing food for Elijah, and he was drinking from brook Cherith before God sent him to the widow woman that God want to help and preserve from famine and death. Her last meal was her seed, thank God she sowed it and it became the first.
Take time to put something heavy before the Lord, it will speak for you in due time.

LEARN HOW TO GATHER WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. Text: Ps. 104:28

“That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.”
“GATHER” means effort; work. It means you will take physical steps to do something. Some people have received divine ideas to make wealth and have done nothing about it. And yet, they will complain about the economic situation of the country. They complain of not having enough money. “Not enough” is not in God’s dictionary. He is the more than enough God, the all breasty one. Just imagine a nursing mother that has the two breasts full with milk, it is flowing uncontrollably and she is looking for the baby to come and suck for relief. That is how God is, so loaded, waiting for His children to come and take some more.
You gather to take what God gives to you. If you don’t take it, it will be there. God is not emotional; He is not going to help you to make it. You’ve got to pick it yourself.
Gathering and walking in the abundance God has promised does not start with doing something, it starts with a change of mindset. You must know that you have a right to succeed and abound first of all. Abundance is your portion. God has given them per time. At times it may be wisdom or physical resources that God gives. He may give it to you directly, through the work of your hands or through somebody. Reject limitation and reduction. Gather what God gives.
Your Right to Gather (Ruth 2:1-end)
It is important for Christians to know that they have a right to gather. We are not beggars but sons; therefore we own whatever the Father owns. The problem however is that many Christians have not risen to the responsibilities of sons in the kingdom hence they cannot lay hold of the privileges. Let us see the example of Ruth.
Ruth went to glean on the field of Boaz and when she got there, there were 4 categories of people she met. The world is the field and these four categories of men are on the harvest field:
1.      The owner: Boaz was the owner. You don’t see Boaz gathering anything. Everything there is His. God is the Owner.
2.      The reapers: they were taking charge of the field for him. The bible calls the angels reapers.
3.      The gleaner: the poor people that go to the field and pick up things after the reapers. They pack the leftovers and it is still not enough for them.
4.      The children of the owner: this just go to Daddy’s field to just see what is happening..
The status of each person on the harvest field determines the audacity they have to take harvest. Boaz was the owner, so he could give them the command “Let her drink from the vessel the young men have drawn. Let her take as much as she wants and let no man stop her. Drop some handfuls for her on purpose. The owner says he has given it to you and you know you are the son of the owner. You have access and right, a God ordained right to everything God has. Jesus is our Joint Heir. Everything God has, you have. It’s your right. You are not trying to plead or beg. The son does not even need the permission of the reapers. It’s his father’s. So there is no reason for you to be in lack or want.

PEOPLE ON YOUR ROAD TO DESTINY (2)

No two different tools are made the same way
Last week we started looking at people on your road to destiny. Today we will continue on that subject and I pray that the Lord will give you understanding in Jesus name.
The process needed to make a “Saw” or a “Hammer” is different even though both tools are carpentry tools. They are not fashioned the same way. They go through two different processes. This is the same with you and any another person. God did not create two different people to be the same. This is the reason why he gave us different parents. Even siblings of the same parents don’t come out exactly the same; they each in themselves are unique.
The greatness of your future is seen in the present demands of God on you. The experience you are having indicates the future God has for you. Stop desiring other people’s experiences. Let your own help you develop into greatness. God prepares you to be stronger than anything that will come to you in your future. The 3 Hebrew boys were stronger than the fire before it came. Take note therefore of the things God is presently allowing you to go through now.
It is to prepare you for the future. God supplies the ability to overcome before the test shows up. Therefore you don’t need to compare yourself with other people because your road in destiny is not the same. Whilst going through challenges & trying situations that your friends or colleagues may not going through understand that your paths are different. Settle down with God and let him equip you through his program for you. Perhaps, your parents are not able to take care of you. You don’t need to be offended, know that they have done their job by birthing you. Look up to God. He is your source. Don’t let that provoke you to speak negative words against them. Honour their contribution into your life in everything you do. Even if you feel your parents are evil and are responsible for some setbacks and exposing you to some satanic battles and wickedness. Look to God and fight the devil but honour your natural parents. You will eventually realize that they supplied something to your journey. It is well.
Those who are jealous of your future (Genesis 37:39, 40=44)
There are some personalities or people on your road to destiny that you must be aware are jealous of your future. For Joseph these were his brothers. Those who are jealous of your destiny are most likely people who are familiar with your history. Note those people familiar with your history; they may be jealous of you do not be naive. Only those who have a part with you in destiny may not be jealous and you must not deny them because it cost something not to be jealous. Joseph’s brothers were determined not to let his dreams come true; they were poised to destroy his future. Really to be jealous is the response of the natural carnal man.
Even Jesus’ brothers rose to oppose him. David’s brothers also rose up against him, he was sent to them on the battle field where he encountered and defeated Goliath. Jesus also could not do any miracles or signs among those who were familiar with his history. He could only do few things among them. Their estimation of him was low. Familiarity robs and kills Christians around the anointing.
Don’t be intimidated by those familiar with your history who are fighting and opposing your future don’t blame them, that simply is the response of natural men to familiarity. They are blind to the greatness in you and want to fight you. Focus on what God has predestined you for. Most likely your destiny will happen around people who don’t really know you I mean those who are not familiar with your history.

PEOPLE ON YOUR ROAD TO DESTINY TEXT: Genesis 37: 39-44

Looking at Joseph’s life and his journey from the comfort of his father’s house and embrace through all the rigours on his way to the palace, you would see that he encountered many people; some where very critical to his journey and others were not relevant. I want you to place your life side by side Joseph’s life and apply your heart to the wisdom in this man’s life so that you won’t be cut short. Such people include the following.
1.      Those that birthed you into life.
2.      Those who are jealous of your future.
3.      Those who will sell your dreams and future.
4.      Those who birth your destiny and seasons of God for your life.
5.      Those people for whom you are running the race of destiny.
6.      Those whose negative acts contribute positively to your journey.
7.      Those who create the atmosphere and environment for you to develop necessary skills for destiny.
8.      Those who raise false hopes for you to distract you.
9.      Those men whose dreams must come true in order for you to rise up.
10.  Those that God has ordained to put the crown on your head.
Don’t only note these people you need to trust God for wisdom to respond appropriately to them. This is very important.
1. Those That Birthed You into Life
This implies your natural parents. They gave birth to you and brought you into the world. They are your channel through which God sent you into the world to fulfill destiny, you must recognize that and respect this, without them you would not have come.
What they have done is what nobody else can do for you and you must note and reward this.
Some people wish they were born by different parents. This is wrong. You must know that God works in your life based on your destination and you would not have been you if other parents birthed you. Your own parents supplied their own genes and the combination resulted in you, another combination would not have become you. So appreciate that and honour them for it.
The future God has for you is what determines his workings and operations in your life. Therefore the parents who gave birth to you and the experiences you have had under them were allowed by God. God works in your life today because of your tomorrow. Never compare your parents with other people’s parents. Stop wishing, they were yours, accept your parents and let everything they have supplied to you work together by God to make you what God wants you to be in life & destiny.
Some people had their parents nurture them till they became mature whilst others never even knew their parents. God allowed these things so that it would contribute to their moulding. Just accept it the way God has allowed it and maximize that which you cannot change for your future to come to pass.
